  Our problem is spiritual. people just don't care. we had our culture war and they won. the losers are becoming "soft kill" victims.  I was thinking about augmented reality so I looked it up.It looks like augmented reality contact lenses are becoming a thing. How practical or useful they are i don't know. Then I thought if you closed your eyes you could still see the display, maybe even when you are asleep. What are the applications of digital dreams? Does AI generated dreams sound creepy to you?

I have been watching some video of Terry Davis and I don't see anything mentally ill or schizophrenic about him. Why would anyone want to put a person on debilitating medication unless it was absolutely necessary? I see some similarities between us.  I was reading today and I found a comment that said there is free speech but not freedom from consequences and I wanted to reply but I knew I couldn't so I put my reply here. in a mature and civil society the consequence of free speech is debate or just discussion. People are acting irrational and uncivilized. It is effectively censorship by popular opinion. You have no freedom without a civil society.  in china they say they have the "great firewall" and censorship. they say in america we have freedom of speech. But I want to say that we don't have great intellectual and open minded discussion. in fact I notice that the media mostly ignores the problems of the poor. They might make you think those people don't exist or their problems were not serious.  some might accuse me of being a keyboard coward. I guess In reality I vary my words depending on who I am talking to. some things you can tell certain people and some things you can't. nowadays I don't feel so brave because I don't believe what I say is anonymous. in reality when there is a group of people standing around trying to figure out what to do I'm like everyone else, I try to make an intelligent suggestion. When I make my suggestion there are usually immediate facial expressions that let me know how the people in charge of the situation like it. sometimes my suggestion is bad but sometimes the expression says "who are you?". I think the problem we  going to have is like this. the facebook model has leaked into the real world and people think they can block anyone they want. you are not on my friends list. You are unqualified. I don't like what that idea suggests. maybe a little of "your suggestion doesn't fit into my belief system....
