new age religion

I meditate and I was wondering if it was ok to be a christian who meditates. The Dalai lama said it was okay to be a Christian and a Buddhist. I was reading the book of acts and it says Paul was in a trance. That doesn't sound like typical Christian prayer. I have a gemstone collection and birthstones come from the Bible. I like incense and it is mentioned many times.  Everything is an herb. Coffee , tea, food....

I don't see anything new about it.
